IT OFFERS FAMILY MEMBERS A CHANCE TO LEARN PROBLEM-SOLVING TECHNIQUES, LISTENING SKILLS AND METHODS OF COMMUNICATION. THE AGENCY HELPS OVER 3,000 CHILDREN AND FAMILIES EACH YEAR. NAMI of Erie County presents Erie's ONLY Family-to-Family program. Family-to-Family is a FREE 12-week course for family, friends and caregivers of individuals with mental illnesses. This course provides families with communication and problem-solving techniques, coping mechanisms, and the self-care skills needed to deal with their loved one's mental illness as well as its impact on the family.
