Job Title: FOOD SERVICE WORKER Pay Rate: $12.50

SUMMARYPerforms routine general service tasks in kitchen, cafeteria, dining room, dish room, patient/resident, coffee shop and/or vending areas

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMaintains friendly and efficient attitude towards customers, co-workers and clients. Sets up assigned station in work area.

May perform the following tasks as required: · Brews coffee · Fills beverage machines · Sets up hot and/or cold food areas, salad bar area, and fills vending machines · Sets up, operates, clean and dismantles dish machine · Stocks and dismantles condiment areas and replenishes paper and china supplies · Assists with the proper storage, dating and rotating of stock Maintains merchandising in-service areas. Prepares portions, assembles and labels food items. Works on serving line. Works in dish room, scrapping trays, loading and unloading dish machine and sorting silverware, if required. Cleans tables, counters and various types of kitchen equipment and sweeps and mops floors. Assists with catered events, if required. Removes trash from department and transports to disposal area. Adheres to all Metz policies. Conducts work within HACCP guidelines as appropriate and adheres to all departmental sanitation procedures.

JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Catering Cook Pay Rate: Negotiable commensurate with experience

Position requires knowledge of proper cooking and serving temperatures for various types of foods. The cook will prepare, serve, and forecast all items needed for menu service according to recipe, and production methods as directed in a manner that insures quality, quantity, and condition in a timely manner. You will assist with all scheduled preparation, service, and sanitation of the operation.

Duties & Responsibilities: · Must have the ability to be flexible. Schedule is subject to change according to the business needs of the operation. Typically, 6:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. However, may need to work varied hours based on business needs. Ex.9-5, a split shift or a possible weekend. · Report to work at scheduled time, in good hygiene and follow uniform policies at all times. · Prepare all foods as directed according to Metz Culinary Management recipes. · Prepare all foods, ensuring that they are ready for service as scheduled for the service periods in the proper amounts needed, ensuring quality, quantity, and condition. · Prepare and gather all items needed for all catering. Food and Supplies. · Prepare all food and assist in the set-up of all Board meals. · Review all menus for service periods to ensure the necessary pre-preparation in the proper forecasted amounts according to direction, recipes, and portions in sufficient time for ideal service. · Fill out production records, as needed. · Communicate food product needs to your supervisor for ordering. · Clean and maintain your work area at all times, scheduling special cleaning projects with your supervisor for down times. · On days when catering is low, you will assist the kitchen staff with food production and cleaning. · Must maintain a professional, pleasant, courteous and friendly personality with visitors and guests. Smile and give good service. · Must have the ability to work well with others and follow instructions. · Carry out all Metz standards. · Break down and clean all service areas and equipment, ensuring proper sanitation and all items put in their proper storage areas. · Assist with kitchen and dining room cleaning. · Report all accidents and injuries to your supervisor immediately. · Any other duty assigned by supervisor. · Before shift ends, review with your supervisor the next day’s service so that you are aware of any special needs or production for menu service. · Check out with supervisors daily before leaving.
